All About Me!
Live. Laugh. Love.
Hello! My name is Taylor Brooke Anne McKinnon. I am a senior at Bethel-Tate High School. I also attend Grant Career Center for the Teacher Academy program. I work at Arby's. My life has been a crazy journey, to learn more, continue reading!
Looking Back: Freshman Year!
My freshman year was not the best year of my life, at all. It was an emotional rollercoaster! I had a hard time adjusting to high school, losing the people I thought were my best friends, dealing with my family problems, and trying to find out who I wanted to be. In November of my freshman year, I attended a life-changing conference. The National Catholic Youth Conference was probably the one thing that has made me who I am. It was a four day conference in Kansas City, Missouri. This confernce helped me learn to put my faith first and everything else after. I can't even express how lucky I was to attend that life-changing experience. Other than the National Catholic Youth Conference, my freshman year was very dim, but it helped me become who I am today.
New Year, New Me!
Sophomore year was a little better for me. I finally my true friends, and I focused on school and family. My family went on a lot of vacations my sophomore year. We went to Myrtle Beach, Daytona Beach, Sandusky, and Gatlinburg. It was a blast to spend time with my family in such beautiful places. We had so much fun! I got my driving permit my sophomore year and that was by far, interesting. My dad had to find a lot of patience in order to teach me how to drive. My favorite year in high school is next... Junior year!
Finding Myself
Junior year was the year I definitely found myself. I had so many things happen to me, I learned just how strong I am, I got my license, my parents split up and divorced, and found love. I fell away from my faith, but found how much I need it. I found out who my real and true friends are. The summer before my senior year was absolutely incredible. My motto was "You only have one life, live it"! I did so many different things, it is honestly hard to remember them all. I would defintely have to say my junior year was the toughest, but the best!
The Beginning of the End
Senior year has been incredible! However, I am very sad to see it coming to an end so soon. I will be attending Wilmington College in the fall to major in Special Education. I am in the Teacher Academy at Grant Career Center working on developing my teaching skills, and getting a head start on the teaching skills.
